Microsoft has officially unveiled the new Xbox One console today, the successor to the almighty Xbox 360. The Xbox One fuses the Xbox platform and the Windows platform, for best access to games, the Internet and all sorts of other applications. Along with the Xbox One, Microsoft announced a new Kinect sensor and a new gamepad. In terms of hardware the new Xbox will feature a 500GB hard drive, Bluray slot drive, 8 Core CPU chip, 802.11n WLAN, USB 3.0, and HDMI in/out connection. Additional details include:

Gizmodo took an interesting look at the iconic Starship Enterprise from the Star Trek movie franchise and wanted to see how much it would cost today to actually build it. They tried to make it as realistic as possible with todays technologies and knowledge available, as they can of course not predict the future and the costs of inventions that will happen in the future.

They came up with a grand total of costs of $478,947,711,160 USD, which makes up about 12.59 percent of the 2013 US Defense expenditure total budget.

After word surfaced of Kanye West joining the cameo-filled cast of the long-in-the-works Anchorman sequel, West was spotted filming scenes on a downtown Atlanta rooftop with returning stars Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd. Production for Anchorman: The Legend Continues has set up shop in Atlanta as the crew has been filming scenes in Woodruff Park and the surrounding areas. Anchorman: The Legend Continues is slated for a December 20 release.

British car maker Aston Martin celebrates its centenary with the CC100 Speedster Concept. After several teasers, the concept sports car has finally been unveiled today through a making-of video. The video nicely highlights the process from concept to reality, involving a design and creation process. The CC100 Speedster Concept brings the heritage of the Aston Martin brand in car racing back to the future.
