Killa Kenna
Kenna is one of those artist who other artists admire. My friends and I have listened enjoyed his music for some years now, but always wondered why he wasn’t as much of a sensation as his talents seemingly allow. He’s always managed to fall into the shadows of the industry, but remain on the forefront of notoriety when his name is brought up. His first project, New Sacred Cow gained Kenna a lot of attention, but lacked something – his face. With all of the wonder as to who this new talent was, came a desire to see him. However, his face wasn’t featured on the album cover, so people who wanted to put a face to the sound ended up disregarding him for the most part.

Interestingly enough, the title of his second album, Make Sure they See My Face played on the idea of previously not showing his face as both a marketing initiative and ironic gesture, since he didn’t show his face on that album cover, either. It is also rumored to be an acknowledgement of a conversation Pharrell and Kenna had, in which Pharrell told Kenna to “Make sure they see your face.”

“Say Goodbye to Love”
His next project is going to be insane. After having personally worked on his marketing campaign, I can assure you that this one will definitely bring something new to, and expand his audience. Here’s a teaser video for his next project which seems to feature some interesting names in contemporary music.
