This is interesting

What you’re looking at is a reissue of an old Powell Peralta graphic that came out decades ago–before the birth of Supreme, the brand/store that you’re probably familiar with.  What’s most interesting about this isn’t that Supreme bit Powell, and there’s no denying that they did, it’s that they built a brand off of one tiny campaign.  This is a key example of how the capitalist model manifests itself in business, even in a counter-culture that rejects notions of capitalism through the implementation of highly exclusive product.  I guess this is all to say that no matter how cool or creative something appears to be, at the end of the day it’s just business.
